I was hooked to the Little Nyonya series 2 weeks ago where I burnt alot of midnight oil, chasing the series. I am inspired by Jue Xiang love toward her husband who MIAed on her 8 years where she had to give birth to her child on her own (WW2 days) and everynight, she'd stand outside of her house, hoping that her husband would return from Japan whom eventually returned. Their love was a forbidden love - synonymous to the Butterfly Lovers because he was a reluctant Japanese soldier and she was, a Little Nyonya from a respectable family it seems (but that is a different story altogether).
